Who’s playing at the 20th anniversary Highland Jazz and Blues Festival in Shreveport?

The 20th anniversary poster was created by Parkway High School rising senior, Kyleigh McVay. The Highland Area Partnership held a poster design contest for juniors and seniors in Caddo and Bossier Parishes, and the submissions were juried by local artists and cultural bearers.

The artwork features a bluebird representing “Jazzy” the festival mascot playing a guitar alongside band members playing jazz instruments. McVay earned a $500 award prize for her work.

You’ll be able to purchase an official poster and other event merchandise at the festival.  

Music

Musical performances will include local and regional favorites, along with headliner, D.K. Harrell, from Ruston. Harrell is an emerging blues artist and international award-winning musician who is dedicated to the preservation of the traditional blues.
