Born on May 4, 1978, Andrews started watching sports from a young age thanks to her dad, per New York Post. The TV personality later graduated from the University of Florida in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, reported Fox Sports.

Joining ESPN in 2004 and making the switch to Fox Sports in 2012, Andrews has decades of experience in the industry. But it’s not all about the NFL for her – in 2010, she got third place on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars season 10, and then co-hosted the show from 2014 to 2019 with Tom Bergeron.

It all began with a seemingly innocuous comment on Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, Andrews’ podcast with fellow sportscaster Charissa Thompson, in August 2023. Andrews said at the time, “Taylor, I don’t know what you are doing in your life right now besides rocking the world. Please try our friend Travis. He is fantastic,” before adding, “Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America.”

Soon after Swift attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game in September that same year, Kelce thanked Andrews and Thompson on Instagram after the duo reposted the clip: “You two are something else!! I owe you big time!!” he wrote, adding a couple of laughing and raised hands emojis.

Andrews also joked on the Late Night with Seth Meyers show that she and Thompson “hope to officiate the wedding”.

Andrews and her retired ice hockey player husband Jarret Stoll live in California and welcomed their son Mack Roger Stroll through surrogacy in June 2023.

When Andrews was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016, it prompted her to begin seriously considering marriage and a family, she explained to Health magazine a year later, after she had spent most of her 20s and 30s on her career. But after struggling for almost a decade with infertility, according to Today.com, Andrews went for surrogacy.

Per the same source, the former Dancing with the Stars co-host said that talking to others who had been through infertility, IVF and surrogacy helped her and Stoll. She also revealed in an article she wrote for Glamour that she shared a close bond with her surrogate: “Experiencing pregnancy with our surrogate was amazing. I tell everybody she was the perfect fit for us because she was calm, positive and just so loving.”

Her women-focused sports apparel brand

It’s hard to name someone who’s done more to welcome girls and women to American football than Andrews. So it’s not surprising that she founded her own sports apparel brand, Wear by Erin Andrews, and launched a women’s NFL collection with Fanatics in 2019. It has since then created collections with the NBA and NHL, too.

And when Swift wore one of Wear’s bomber jackets at a Chiefs game in September 2023, Andrews said that sales shot through the roof: “It sold out, we restocked it, it sold out again,” she commented, according to Today.com.
