Why LSU is a top five job in college football in 2024
Brian Kelly holds one of the most coveted jobs in all of college football. It comes with its pressures, its resources, its devoted fanbase and perhaps most important of all, a state that’s rich in talent year in and year out.
The 247Sports national team wrote about the top 10 college football jobs in 2024 and LSU came in at No. 4 behind Georgia, Texas and Ohio State. It included weighing factors like projected recruiting success, expansive resources, fan support, administrative relationships, facilities, NIL efforts, lifestyle and many others that help determine an elite position.
Here’s the description of LSU’s ranking:
“From resources to pull top-end coaches from other jobs, Tiger Stadium to a rabid fanbase in the middle of a hot recruiting area, LSU just about has it all. One former personnel director at a top 25 program who routinely recruited against the Tigers in recent years told 247Sports for this story that LSU is “still developing” its plan of attack in the NIL realm, an area that will be vital for Kelly and his success moving forward.”
