Wildcats Travel to Billings to Compete in NCAA Regionals – Central Washington University Athletics

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Central Washington Cross Country team travels to Billings, Montana on Saturday, November 9^th to compete in NCAA West Regionals at Amend Park.
 
QUALIFYING FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

1. The top three teams will automatically advance to the championship finals.
2. The top two individuals who are not part of a qualifying team will automatically advance to the championship finals.
3. All individuals who finish in the top five at the regional meet and are not part of a qualifying team will automatically advance to the championship finals.
4. The next eight individuals will be selected at large.

 
MEET INFORMATION
Date: Saturday, November 9^th
Location: Amend Park / Billings, MT
Women’s Race: 6,000 meter race – 11:15 a.m.
Men’s Race: 10,000 meter race – 10:00 a.m.

Competitors: All 10 conference members will compete in the NCAA West Region Championships         
Parking:
Reserved team parking for buses and vans will be available on the Amend North parking lot off Simpson Street.
This lot is the closest to the start and finish area.
Spectators may park in the Amend South lots off King Avenue East.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Central Washington men finished 5^th and women finish 7^th at GNAC Championships two weeks ago. Johan Correa took second place at the Great Northwest Atlantic Conference Championships as he completed the 8K in 24:29.5 and teammate Ramon Rodriguez placed right behind him in third, as he completed the race in 24:32.9. Luke Hurd rounded out the top three performances for the ‘Cats as he placed 27^th with a time of 25:42.6. Payton Conover led the women and finished 31^st with a time of 23:03.7. Hannah Pidduck was close behind as she finished 33^rd with a time of 23:12.0. Araceli Esquivel and Camryn Holterhoff placed 42^nd and 43^rd with times of 23:38.9 and 23:41.6. Beatrice Le Gore finished 46^th with a time of 23:45.2.
