This month’s events at the DANA Adobe in Nipomo start off with a special celebration of ‘Wine Down Wednesday’s’ on July 3 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Music will be provided by local musician Dylan Koch, and the evening will feature regional wines and a chance to celebrate the history of the region with each wine being served featuring a special story.
The event provides attendees a chance to enjoy a public event in DANA’s new mission vineyard to enjoy the view of the Temettate Ridge.
The exploration of California history will continue on July 21 when Sean Malis, with introduction by Terry Handy, speaks at the Dana Adobe’s Cultural Center on “The Golden State’s Loyalty to the Flag: California in the Civil War”.
July’s edition of the ongoing Sunday Speaker Series will present the stories of California’s contributions to the Civil War, including the state’s economic, political, and strategic aid as well as 17,000 citizen soldiers.
The Sunday Speaker program starts at 1 p.m. is free to members or $10 for non-members, and includes light refreshments after the presentation.

Heading into the last weekend in July, the Festival Mozaic will host one of their musical productions. Festival Mozaic brings a collection of performances to various performance centers in San Luis Obispo county from July 18-27. This year’s concert at the Cultural Center will showcase Tim Bluhm, frontman for the now-iconic band Mother Hips, and the Coffis Brothers.
