Winner of $10,000 shopping spree at Appliance Center announced

MAUMEE, Ohio (WTVG) – With the roll of a barrel and the pick of a ticket, we have a winner of our third and final early bird drawing.

Mariah Simcox of Maumee scored a $10,000 mattress and furniture shopping spree at Appliance Center. The bonus drawing is part of the Greater Toledo Home Giveaway.

“The $10,000 shopping spree is a product of our vendors and our owners and everybody kind of, you know, getting together and pooling their resources for a great cause, being, you know Ebeid Children’s Hospital,” said John Fulton, one of the sales managers at Appliance Center.

13abc is helping raffle off a 3-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath ranch in the River Tree subdivision at Sylvania Ave. and Mitchaw Rd. in Sylvania Twp. Proceeds benefit the Promedica Russel J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital.

“It’s actually been a really exciting process knowing that it’s going back to local children, being able to see on 13abc actual children that this is going to help, it’s been awesome, and being a local business and supporting local, it’s just a really, really great cause, really great feeling,” said Tiffanie Clemens, a member of the Appliance Center marketing department.

The drawing for the house, which is currently under construction by Mavillino Custom Homes, is set for June 2024.

“We’ve got just a little more than a month to go for the rest of the tickets to get sold. If you want to get a chance to win the house or help contribute some money for the children’s hospital, we’re getting down to the deadline and everybody’s excited about that,” said Tim Mays, Co-Owner of Mavillino Custom Homes.
