Woman arrested for DWI, accused of crashing into sign at Moorhead business

MOORHEAD, Minn. (Valley News Live) – One woman is facing DWI charges, accused of crashing into a sign at a Moorhead business over the holiday weekend.

Police stopped 35-year-old Desirable Peterman on 8th St. around 11:30 p.m. Saturday. They say she was doing 58 in a 30 mile per hour zone.

Court records allege she failed field sobriety tests and a breathalyzer. Peterman has two prior DWI convictions.

During the time of her arrest, another officer was investigating reports of a reckless driver who had hit a sign in Moorhead near the 400 Block of 8th St. Documents say there was damage to the Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Services business sign.

Officers observed tire tracks in the snow, paint color and vehicle parts strewn about that were traced back to Peterman’s vehicle.

Peterman is due in court next on Dec. 19.
