World Archery appoints hosts of World Cup Finals through 2028
The Hyundai Archery World Cup Final will take place in the Chinese city of Nanjing in 2025 and across Mexico in 2026, 2027 and 2028 following host appointments by the World Archery executive board today in Istanbul, Türkiye.
Mexico will host the finale of the 20th season of the international tour, in 2026, exactly two decades after the inaugural season concluded at the pyramids in Merida.
Next year’s event in Nanjing will mark the first time that a city in China has hosted the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final. The date is expected to be released very soon.
Long-time Chinese stage Shanghai is already confirmed to be returning for the next three seasons.
The World Archery executive board also appointed hosts of the 2027 World Archery Para Championships and the first-ever combined World Archery Field and 3D Championships, which will take place in Yankton (South Dakota, USA) in 2026.
Yankton has previously hosted the youth (2015), indoor (2018), outdoor (2021) and field (2022) championships.
The Australian capital of Canberra was selected ahead of Dubai (UAE) and Anji (China) to host the 2027 World Archery Para Championships. The event is expected to act as the primary qualifier for the LA28 Paralympic Games. Canberra received 10 board votes, Dubai and Anji one each.
The executive board meeting concludes tomorrow (Sunday) in Istanbul.
