World Cup Appetizer: TOCA Social Is Coming to Grandscape in The Colony

Two years after it was first announced as a splashy three-story venue in the Dallas Design District, U.K.-based TOCA Social is coming to North Texas after all—combining “the best of soccer, entertainment, and world-class dining” in one immersive venue.

Set to open in Summer 2025 at Grandscape in The Colony, the venue was announced today by Costa Mesa, California-based TOCA Football and Major League Soccer, which is partnering with TOCA to bring the experience to North Texas in advance of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will feature nine matches at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, including one of the globally watched semi-final matches.

TOCA already operates five TOCA Soccer Centers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, along with having a strategic partnership with the MLS club FC Dallas.

Featuring immersive target-game “TOCA boxes,” TOCA Social aims to revolutionize how fans engage with soccer by offering “the world’s first interactive and socially competitive soccer entertainment experience.”

The Grandscape venue will be TOCA Social’s first in the U.S., setting the stage for what TOCA aims to be a “nationwide expansion.”

“We’re thrilled to open our first American TOCA Social in Dallas,” TOCA CEO Yoshi Maruyama said in a statement. “Dallas is an amazing market with a deep passion for soccer and entertainment. As a host of the World Cup and building on TOCA’s existing presence and partnership with FC Dallas, it’s the perfect location to showcase TOCA Social. Our goal is to create unforgettable experiences that blend soccer, technology, and social entertainment.”

Opened in London in 2021, attracting ‘Ted Lasso’ cast members

The first TOCA Social venue opened in London “to huge success” in August, 2021, attracting stars from top English football clubs as well as celebs, influencers—and even cast members from “Ted Lasso.”

TOCA SOCIAL was recently named winner of the 2024 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, the company noted. The second venue opened in Birmingham, England, just last month. TOCA also recently announced a joint venture with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield to expand TOCA Social venues throughout Europe and a franchise deal with Ventura Entertainment to open TOCA Social venues across Mexico.

“We’re excited to partner with TOCA to bring TOCA Social to the United States,” Chris Schlosser, SVP of emerging ventures at MLS, said in a statement. “This innovative concept will provide a unique and interactive experience for our fans, further enhancing their connection to the sport we all love. Our goal is to add innovation to soccer in the U.S. as we prepare for the upcoming World Cup.”
