World-famous EAA night show set to take place with hundreds of drones alongside famous planes

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – The night shows at EAA AirVenture are seen as one of the most popular aerobatic shows of the week.

More than a dozen of the world’s best aerobatic pilots will be flying at dusk, along with hundreds of choreographed drones.

Some of the most notable planes include the F22, F35, and “FIFI”, a B29 World War II bomber also known as the Superfortress.

Thousands of EAA attendees are eager to see the world-famous performance.

“It’s going to be fantastic, every night show is amazing. The drone show, in particular, I’m very very excited for,” says AirVenture attendee Blakely Percival. “I was at an air show in Florida back in April and they had a relatively similar drone show, so that was fantastic.”

“It’s a very precise maneuver in the daytime, at night time with the smoke and everything, it takes a lot and you appreciate it,” says AirVenture attendee Steve Warden.

Wednesday’s air show will end with a large fireworks display to cap off night three of AirVenture 2024.

“The fireworks show at the very end, it’s probably the best show I’ve ever seen for fireworks,” says AirVenture attendee Taylor Alexander.
