Tessa Truman was overwhelmed with support from her village who showed up at her doorstep when she had an ectopic pregnancy in Henderson, Nevada.

Tessa Truman was getting ready to take her stepson to school in Henderson, Nevada, during her first trimester of pregnancy when she suddenly felt very ill and fell unconscious.

Tessa was carrying an ectopic pregnancy, which occurs when an egg is growing outside the uterus. Her egg was growing in her fallopian tube, which suddenly burst and caused potentially life-threatening internal bleeding. Luckily, Tessa received surgery just in time.

Recovering from the loss of the pregnancy was not easy for Tessa, but her community made sure she wasn’t alone. Doorbell footage captured about 20 of her friends, family, and acquaintances constantly arriving at her front door with food, flowers, love, and support.

Tessa shared her experience online, hoping to connect with other women with similar stories. Her video garnered thousands of supportive comments and over 15 million views as it went viral.
