The World Millwork Alliance (WMA), the leading millwork wholesale distribution association, is excited to announce the appointment of Renee Hornsby as its new Executive Director, effective September 16, 2024.
Renee succeeds President and CEO Rosalie Leone, who has provided 27 years of leadership, guiding the organization through its transformation from the National Sash & Door Jobbers Association to the Association of Millwork Distributors, and later to global recognition as the World Millwork Alliance.
A New Chapter for WMA
Renee Hornsby brings a wealth of diverse experience to her role as Executive Director. A results-driven leader, Renee has a proven track record of driving strategic growth, executing impactful marketing initiatives, and managing highprofile events.
Before joining WMA, she served as Chief Operating Officer at the National Hardwood Lumber Association for 16 years. Her expertise spans operations management, board engagement, budget oversight, and positioning organizations as industry leaders in education, advocacy, and networking. Renee is now prepared to lead WMA into its next phase of success.
“I am thrilled to be joining the World Millwork Alliance and eager to meet the members and connect with the industry at the 2024 Millwork Convention & Tradeshow,” said Hornsby. “Rosalie, the staff, and the board have built a strong foundation, and I look forward to building upon their accomplishments. As Rosalie transitions, I hope to gain her valuable insights and the trust of the WMA community.”
Transforming and Transitioning
Under Rosalie Leone’s leadership, the World Millwork Alliance experienced significant growth and evolution. During her tenure, Rosalie rebranded the organization, broadened its scope to reach international markets, and solidified WMA’s reputation as a premier trade association. Her vision and dedication have left an indelible mark on the organization, and her legacy will continue to shape WMA’s path forward.
“I am thrilled to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Renee on her new role as Executive Director. This appointment is a testament to her exceptional skills, dedication, and deep understanding of both our members’ needs and the millwork industry as a whole. Renee’s readiness for this role is evident, and I am confident that she will navigate this transition with both grace and strategic insight,” said Leone.
Leone intends to depart WMA with a solid foundation, leaving the organization in a state of readiness to navigate and prosper in the face of future endeavors. “It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve the WMA leadership and its members,” Leone stated.
