World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2024: Preview and schedule in full
A total of 29 mixed curling teams are heading to Dumfries, Scotland where, from 1-7 December, they will compete in the World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2024 for a chance to book their place at next year’s world championship.
Sixteen teams have already qualified for the flagship mixed doubles tournament in Fredericton, Canada, meaning just four spots remain for those hoping to take part; they will be on the line at the Dumfries Ice Bowl. But, there’s more.
By qualifying for the world championship, the top four teams will also earn a berth for the 2025 Olympic Qualification Event in December where two teams will have the chance to secure a quota for the mixed doubles event at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026*.
With plenty to curl for, find out more about the competition including the teams taking part and the full schedule.
*As National Olympic Committees have the exclusive authority for the representation of their respective countries at the Olympic Games, athletes’ participation at the Milano Cortina Games depends on their NOC selecting them to represent their delegation at Milano Cortina 2026.
