World of Wonders impresses Nebraska State Fair goers

The World of Wonders traveling tour appeared at the Nebraska State Fair in full fashion with multiple shows each day, each providing a wide range of entertainment for guests of all ages.

The 30 minute show consists of 10 different performances. From fire eating to breaking metal and even sword swallowing, the show is sure to please audiences.

The World of Wonders cast is made up of only six performers, as well as a few critters like the show’s two headed turtle.

The show has been around in some shape or form for over 70 years. Owner, Tommy Breen, says he loves performing and started out with simple stuff.

“The first trick I learned was putting a nail in my nose,” Breen said. “When I first showed my mom, she was mortified.”

Breen started out performing because he likes to entertain people. “I wanted to entertain people,” Breen said. “And I thought, why not run away and join the circus?”

The show is based out of Florida, and this is their first year performing at the Nebraska State Fair.

There are shows daily at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. with an additional performance Saturdays at 6 p.m.
