World Series Of Poker Paradise Events Draw High Stakes Players To Bahamas

Record $50 Million Guaranteed Prize Pool for Super Main Event

The stakes continue to rise for the World Series of Poker. Following a record-breaking summer and WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event is setting another record with the biggest guaranteed prize pool in the history of poker. The WSOP, purchased by GGPoker in October for $500 million, has upped the ante with a $50 million guarantee and $25,000 entry fee to the Super Main Event starting Dec. 12 with a winner crowned Dec. 19.

“The $50 million Super Main Event is quite simply the biggest gamble in poker history,” said Ty Stewart, Executive Director of the World Series of Poker. Stewart is now the CEO of NSUS Group, home of GGPoker and the new subsidiary of the WSOP.

The World Series of Poker Paradise is a winter series held at the Atlantis Paradise Island in The Bahamas for the second straight year.

“The Atlantis resort is iconic for its fish and shark aquariums so it’s fitting we plan to draw plenty of both at WSOP Paradise 2024,” Stewart added.

The unique format of the high roller series is fueled by online qualifiers from GGPoker. More than 100 online qualifiers will make it to the Bahamas via GGPoker – more than any other online entity.

GGPoker ambassador Daniel Negreanu is making his second straight appearance at the WSOP Paradise event. The high-stakes poker pro from Las Vegas told me the WSOP Bahamas is simply “the nuts’, referring to ‘the best’.

Negreanu will be providing daily vlogs through his YouTube channel.

“WSOP Paradise is a premier event that benefits the players for high-stakes tournament action,” Negreanu said. “The World Series of Poker and GGPoker have really pushed the envelope with a $50 million guarantee Super Main Event.”

Triton Poker has a high roller series in Asia, and Triton is a partner of GGPoker for the WSOP Paradise. The 15 gold bracelet events begin with a WSOP Mini Main Event and $2,500 buy-in on Dec. 6. The super high-roller action hits the felt on Sat., Dec. 7 for the $500,000 buy-in Triton Million, an invitational No-Limit Hold ‘em event through Triton Poker.

The Triton Million will be one of the spectacles of the year. The unique format involves high net worth businessmen inviting pro players to the tables. Buy-ins must be in pairs with each businessman and poker pro contributing $1 million to the prize pool.

The biggest high rollers include a split field on Day 1 with poker pros battling against each other and the businessmen bluffing and betting their way against each other to advance to Day 2. The fields are then combined, essentially providing a ‘handicap’ for the businessmen to accumulate more chips before competing against top poker pros on Day 2. For the first time ever, the winner will receive both the Triton trophy and a WSOP gold bracelet in one event.

Triton Poker recently announced the list of businessmen competing and the invited poker pros.

Confirmed poker pros include Patrik Antonius, Justin Bonomo, Ben Heath, Phil Ivey, Taylor Von Kriegenbergh, Adrian Mateos, Nick Petrangelo, Punnat Punsri, Andrew Robl and Sean Winter.

Businessmen include David Einhorn, Ossi Ketola, Philip Sternheimer, Santhosh Suvarna, Elton Tsang, Rob Youg and more.

Daniel Negreanu is not yet in the Triton Million field, but has made his interest known on X to any businessman interested in playing and sending along an invitation to the seven-time WSOP bracelet winner.

Super Main Event

The No-Limit Hold ‘em Super Main Event starts Dec. 12 and poker’s biggest gamble and largest guaranteed prize pool in poker history will draw more interest. A $50 million guarantee and $25,000 buy-in means the WSOP is expecting 2,000 entries to reach the guarantee across five Day 1 flights. GGPoker online qualifiers will make up a small portion of the entries, and some of those players will accumulate enough chips to advance into Day 3.

Poker fans can watch and follow the Super Main Event on GGPoker and Triton Poker YouTube channels.

Two generous promotions are being offered for the WSOP Paradise event and provide great value for the players. Downloading the WSOP+ app ensures players can stay up to date on essential event information.

PokerStake

PokerStake covers up to 50% ($13,000) of all unsold action for everyone who lists their Super Main Event action on PokerStakes.

“This is potentially the highest return on investment dollar-wise, that I’ve ever seen in a single event and I’m ready to get our money in action,” said Josh Arieh, the popular poker pro and six-time WSOP bracelet winner and a crucial player manager for the site.

Bitcoin Promotion

Players can buy into the Super Main Event with Bitcoin. The WSOP ensures players benefit from any Bitcoin price increase while they play, and will cover the difference if Bitcoin’s price rises between their deposit and when they cash. The Bitcoin value advantage allows players to maximize their gains as Bitcoin prices rise.

Atlantis Resort

Beyond the high stakes poker action and warm weather poker festival is paradise. The flamingo-pink towers at Atlantis, Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas are instantly recognisable. The colossal resort in the Caribbean celebrated 25 years of the finest in hospitality last year.

Take a tour and adventure of Atlantis Paradise Island Resort and feel the energy and excitement of this desirable destination including the world famous 141-acre Aquaventure water park.

The Battle 4 Atlantis college basketball tournament just completed its event over Thanksgiving for the 13th consecutive year in the Bahamas with Oklahoma winning the championship over Louisville.

This past summer, the 2024 WSOP $10,000 entry World Championship Main Event in Las Vegas drew a record turnout with entries of 10,112 for a total prize pool of $94,041,600. The WSOP brand continues to build and WSOP Paradise is adding to the brand’s profile globally with added interest and high stakes.

“We told everyone WSOP Paradise was not a one-time stunt, and I think they’ve heard us now,” Ty Stewart said in closing. “There’s not a better mix of poker and paradise.”

You can bet on it.
