If you spend any time on the Zenless Zone Zero Reddit page, ZZZ_Official, you’ll see a lot of stuff. More often than not, people are pointing out funny discoveries and sharing a good time with people who enjoy the game. Sometimes, however, there are a lot of NSFW posts and people complaining about various things.
To remedy this, the moderators in charge of curating the ZZZ_Official subreddit have posted some new rules, and a lot of them make a ton of sense. Among some of the other rules, one new stipulation is garnering a lot of hate from people and it reads the prohibited content now includes: “Content against fundamental virtue: drugs, gambling, prostitution, obvious BDSM, etc”.
As you might expect, people are rightly very confused as to why a gacha game – one that is built around gambling – would not allow posts about gambling on the official Reddit page. Some people are worryingly angry about no longer being able to post NSFW content, but it’s probably a good thing when a lot of the characters in ZZZ are considered minors. But the rule about gambling does seem a bit off.
In response, a post has appeared on the game’s unofficial Reddit page, r/ZenlessZoneZero, blasting the change and is getting a lot of traction from people commenting. Shared by OP John-What_son, the entry is titled: “ZZZ_Official is banning Gambling in a gacha game…?”
Right off the bat, one person commented about Howl’s newsstand being a gambling scratch card feature in the game, saying: “So if you post your daily lotto ticket from Howl… you get banned?” Another comment simply reads: “ZZZ has the worst mods I have ever seen in my life”. One person summed up their feeling very succinctly, with a simple “Bruh wtf?”
People are rightly asking where the line is in terms of gambling. Can you share images or videos of your pulls? Can you talk about plans to gamble on banners? The other rules about tightening the NSFW content are great, but more information is needed about prohibiting gambling content. In response to the backlash about NSFW content, the mods have seemingly created a thread where people can post these things freely, so long as they meet the rules.
