How about this for good news…the worst place to travel this summer and it is NOT Las Vegas! Despite the hot temperatures, there are far worse places to be. In fact it’s actually back east.

Feel good about the fact that according to this report, Las Vegas doesn’t even crack the Top 10!

Consider this a public service announcement by The Mike & Carla Morning Show. Please know that we have endured a great number of summers here!

The criteria includes walkability, public transportation, crime rate and few other things. In fact, most of the cities in the Top 5 would actually surprise you!

After checking out an article in Forbes Advisor, come to find out that according to their study, Las Vegas comes in at #12. Can you believe that?

Not even in the Top 10! Despite the heat, you can walk around in Las Vegas, our public transportation is okay and the total city “experience” grants us a pretty good score overall!

It has to make you feel good knowing that our city, even during the summer, is not that bad! With all the amazing resorts, clubs, great restaurants and pool areas, you would think this would be the best place to be right?

We know the heat is the huge topic of conversation when it comes to summertime, but so is the lack of humidity! Consider back in the Midwest, southeast, or even on the east coast, that “wet” heat, mosquitos and bugs…doesn’t sound very fun!

That’s why you might be amazed that Jacksonville, Florida is the #1 spot you do NOT want to be in during the summer season.

According to the report, no where to really walk, the airport experience is awful, the crime rate is high and the restaurants there are average at best.

Followed by Colorado Springs, Fresno, California to round out the Top 3. Listen, despite the heat, would you truly rather be in J-Ville or Las Vegas? That’s what we thought!
