Xbox has lots of exciting games coming down the pipe

With E3 being a long gone-memory, the big console manufactures have for a couple years now showcased their upcoming lineup at their own events.

With Sony showing very few new titles for the next upcoming months and year, Xbox just had their own show and they managed to make gamers excited for the brand once again. Let’s discuss the game’s that were shown off to gamers.

Sea of Thieves showed off the Season 13 update coming in July. This upcoming update will let players become villains with all new content in the long-running online game. If you weren’t a fan of the game before, this latest update likely won’t draw you in.

Starfield: Shattered Space is the brand new expansion coming to the console sometime this year. This expansion showed off a new horror vibe with new locations and a darker look and feel.

I personally can’t wait to delve into the Starfield world when the new expansion launches. There is also a free update that is live today that adds new content in the form of bounties… plus more for free.

State of Decay 3 showed off a new cinematic trailer that really doesn’t give players any more information or even a vague release date.

Microsoft Flight Simulator showed off new content from helicopters, jet fighters, hot air balloons and more.

World of Warcraft: The War Within showed off a cinematic trailer, but not much else.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 showed off gameplay and a cinematic trailer. The Black Ops series is my favourite in the Call of Duty universe. The game will be on Game Pass day one.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard showed off a trailer that has a strange, visual art style compared to past games. The gameplay seemed to be more action-oriented than past titles.

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred is the first expansion coming to the game, sometime this year.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is the latest game in the series with a cool look and sure to be fantastic story. This game is definitely on my radar and will be played later this year.

Flintlock is an upcoming action game that looked like a fast-paced magic fueled adventure. Flintlock comes out in July this year.

South of Midnight showed more cinematography and, for the first time, gameplay. The characters and animation make the game stand out as does the voice action. Combat looked fast and fluid, making me want to know more about the game whenever it launches.

Fable showed off more cinematics, complete with the humor and magic the series is known for. We got a 2025 release date and not much more.

Perfect Dark was a major surprise. The game looked fantastic with a vibrant world, and tons of gadgets and technology. The game really made me excited to find out more about it.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle gave us more cinematics and gameplay. This looks to be the perfect game for Indiana Jones fans with great-looking combat and a solid story. The game will launch sometime later this year.

Expedition 33 is a new turn-based rpg with a heavy dose of French inspiration. This game has its own style that draws the player in.

Gears of War: E-Day. Gears fans were treated to a trailer for the upcoming game set during the Emergence Day events.

Doom: Dark Ages showed off the upcoming game set during medieval times. With the fast-paced combat and gore the series is known for, Doom Dark Ages should be another great game in the series.

All in all Xbox had a stellar showcase with a ton of upcoming games to keep gamers busy.

Look for my review of Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door next week.
