Yankees will face Dodgers in World Series: Dates, Times, TV Schedule

The World Series matchup that Major League Baseball has been dreaming of for years has finally arrived.

With their win over the Mets in Game 6 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday night, the Dodgers have advanced to the World Series.

They’ll face the Yankees, who clinched their first trip back to the Fall Classic since 2009 on Saturday, burying the Guardians with a thrilling extra-inning victory in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series.

A Subway Series would’ve been electric for baseball fans in New York, but this coast-to-coast showdown will be even more of a spectacle on the national stage.

RESTORING THE GLORY

Think of all the superstars. Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani will go head-to-head in the playoffs for the first time, competing to get their first ring after MVP performances in the regular season.

There are several future Hall of Famers on each side. Giancarlo Stanton and Juan Soto will look to keep carrying this Yankees offense while Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman make up the rest of Los Angeles’ dynamic top of the lineup.

It’s the latest chapter in a historic rivalry that’s been dormant for more than four decades as well. These two teams have faced off in the World Series 11 times, but not since 1981. The Yankees are 8-3 in those matchups.
