The recently released Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is the highest-rated installment of the Jurassic franchise. Since releasing on May 24, 2024 exclusively on Netflix, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory has maintained its perfect 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. While the series is rated TV-PG, there is a fair amount of violent and frightening imagery and is not as kid-friendly as Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Still, it’s a great watch for Jurassic fans of nearly all ages.

The newest Jurassic World series has already been renewed for a second season, which is no surprise given its exceptional reviews and its opening status on the Netflix Top 10 chart. Surprisingly, the second season of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is expected to be released on Netflix in Fall 2024. All ten episodes of Jurassic World: Chaos Theory season 1 are just 23 minutes each, making it possible to binge the entire first season in one or two nights.

Why Chaos Theory Is The Only Jurassic World Movie Or Show With 100% On RT

The classic original movie received a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is being praised by critics for its engaging characters and its outstanding mature story. Felipe Rangel of Screen Rant writes in his review, “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is the perfect continuation of the Camp Cretaceous franchise, telling a more mature story with compelling characters.” Randy Myers of San Jose Mercury News notes, “Scott Kreamer and Aaron Hammersley archive something the later “Jurassic” films lacked: giving us characters that are just as compelling as the action sequences.”

While most Jurassic fans would argue that no sequel, prequel, spinoff, or any future installment can top the celebrated original film. Spielberg’s 1993 classic Jurassic Park received a 92% Rotten Tomatoes score based on 143 reviews, earning Rotten Tomatoes’ Certified Fresh label. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory does not have the Certified Fresh label because it has not been reviewed by enough Top Critics on the site. Its perfect 100% score is reflective of the quality of the series but is only based on a total of six reviews.
