Young Adults in West Central Valley can Apply for the International Travel Scholarship

A unique opportunity is coming up for young adults in the West Central Valley School District to see other countries.

Stuart Library Foundation Member Russ Wagner says that this is a great opportunity for individuals who are 18-25 in the West Central Valley School District to apply for the International Travel Scholarship. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they wanted to allow individuals this chance.

“The reason they set it up is they thought, based on their experience traveling, it would be a great opportunity for young adults in the West Central Valley area to travel throughout the world, basically, other than your red states that are not hospitable at this point, and to be able to do that almost virtually expense free on their behalf.”

Wagner mentions that the donors of the funds for the scholarship have traveled to over 70 different countries between themselves, where they were able to learn more about the different countries and their cultures. The initial application phase remains open until October 7th, and applications can be picked up at the Stuart Public Library.
