Young business owners in the Springfield area showcase their ideas to the community
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Young business professionals in the Ozarks got a chance Saturday to showcase their businesses.
It’s all part of the Young Entrepreneurs Showcase. The showcase is a workshop for young businesses learning finances, customer service, marketing, and legal literacy. It included business owners from six years old to 25 years old.
Organizers say around 40 new businesses participated in the showcase this year.
“These kids just have really good ideas, and they’re very creative. It’s great when the community comes out and supports them and just helps encourage them to keep continuing on and learning their business and living their dreams,” said Kelsey Evans, the lead experience officer.
The event started Friday when business owners went through a workshop and then showcased their businesses on Saturday at the University Plaza Hotel in downtown Springfield.
The event is put on by the non-profit Living Adventure.
