Neptune Retrograde

Welcome to Neptune retrograde, beginning July 2, 2024, and continuing through December 7, 2024. Neptune is our planet of mysticism and inspiration. It clouds our vision so we can remember there is more than this tangible reality. It’s an entire world we can enter through imagination, poetry, and art. It’s our dreamscape.

When Neptune turns retrograde in Pisces, however, our entry to the dreamscape becomes slightly less accessible as we are instead guided to tend to the physical world—the here and now that is our existence. Neptune retrograde is a reminder that we must tend to both worlds. It allows us to see what was previously veiled, ground our dreams in the practical, and organize ourselves so that our imaginations can land in our lives.

Mercury Enters Leo

Mercury is our mind. It is our communication, thinking, and learning. It is the lens through which we perceive the world and take in information. As Mercury shifts into a new sign, the energy of our mind and thoughts shift along with it.

As the planet enters Leo on July 2, 2024, it is an invitation for self-expression. It is a space of creativity, sharing passion through our voice, and communicating the longing of our hearts. There is an invitation within this space and your weekly horoscope to see the world in a way that brings us more into life, imparts pleasure to our experience, and supports vitality in our mind. This transit, which lasts until July 25, 2024, prepares us for Leo season, which begins on July 22, 2024.

Mercury Opposite Pluto

The day after Mercury shifts into Leo, the planet comes into opposition with Pluto. Mercury represents our conscious mind while Pluto represents our underworld and our unconscious. As Mercury moves through Leo, highlighting the realm of our self-expression and vitality, Pluto creates a thread of communication between the underworld and our conscious mind.

This opposition is an attempt to bridge together polarities within ourselves—light and dark, self-expression and self-repression—and help you find spaces where they can begin working together. We all have parts of us hidden in the shadows from the world and shunned as we remain fearful of being rejected…yet rejecting ourselves through that very fear.

Consider where this divide came from. Is it our own framework of what is good and accepted or a framework we have learned? What is ready for a rewrite here? This opposition highlights polarity within us all and invites questions, presence, and healing.

Cancer New Moon

On July 5, 2024, we begin again alongside the new Moon in Cancer. Cancer is pure feeling. It is a new Moon that invites us to listen. A new Moon that invites us to feel. A new Moon that invites us to receive.

The Moon is in a constant dance between the seen and the unseen. During a new Moon, she is out of sight. As she empties and bares herself, she exists only in the unseen. Yet she still speaks to us through intuition, feeling, and sensing. With our eyes closed, our attention draws inward instead of outward.

This new Moon initiates a new chapter from this space of intuition, mystery, feeling, and deep listening. It is our opportunity to receive the inspiration, visions, desires, and clarity that can reach us when we surrender our minds for a moment. What we receive here will be the very elements upon which we build our new chapter.
