YouTube Music gets “Pin to Speed Dial” feature: Here’s what it is – Times of India

YouTube Music is enhancing your listening experience with a new feature called “Pin to Speed Dial.” This update allows users to personalise the “Speed Dial” section, which displays frequently played songs, albums, playlists, and music videos.
Previously, the “Speed Dial” section on YouTube Music was populated based on listening history. While convenient, it lacked the option to customise content. Now, with “Pin to Speed Dial,” users can take control and pin their absolute favourites to the top of the grid, ensuring their most-loved tracks are always readily accessible.

How to use the feature

The process of pinning your favourites is simple. Just access the overflow menu (three dots) for any song, album, playlist, or music video (excluding artists and podcasts at this time). There, you’ll find the new “Pin to Speed Dial” option. You can also access it from the “Now Playing” screen using the three-dot button or long-press gesture. Unpinning a track is just as easy, allowing you to refine your personalised “Speed Dial” as needed.
Fortunately, pins are synced across all your Android and iOS devices running the YouTube Music app. This means your personalised “Speed Dial” will be waiting for you, regardless of which device you use to access YouTube Music.
The “Pin to Speed Dial” feature is currently rolling out to YouTube Music users on Android (version 7.29) and iOS (version 7.31). If you haven’t yet received the update, be patient, as it is likely to reach your device soon.
