Zendaya, Gwyneth Paltrow, and More Lead Striking Holiday Campaigns
Welcome to the Week in Fashion, Bazaar’s at-a-glance guide to what the industry is talking about.
Zendaya Models the 20th Anniversary Louis Vuitton x Murakami Collaboration
Two decades ago, when Marc Jacobs was serving as the creative director of Louis Vuitton, he recruited artist Takashi Murakami for a one-of-a-kind collaboration that would quickly become sought after by stars like Paris Hilton and Naomi Campbell. With the collab, Jacobs ended up changing the house’s legendary monogram canvas for the first time, creating a colorful rainbow design that was instantly classic.
Now, in honor of the collaboration’s anniversary, Louis Vuitton has unveiled a re-edition of the designs, which were modeled in a new campaign by none other than Zendaya. The collection includes a range of leather goods, encompassing everything from handbags to sandals and wallets, and it’s all available to shop now. However, due to high demand, it may be difficult to get your hands on a piece.
Carey Mulligan Captures the Essence of Reinvention in New Prada Shoot
If you need someone to show off range, look no further than Carey Mulligan. The Oscar-nominated star of Promising Young Woman and Maestro leads a new campaign for Prada, where she models pieces from the Spring/Summer 2025 womenswear collection, specifically showing off its versatility.
A statement from the house reads: “Mulligan appears again and again, never the same and never herself – each guise is an entirely different individual, inventing a multitude of protagonists, different lives, each entirely separate, unpredictable, and unique. Yet each can be seen as a provoking distinct viewpoint on the ideology of Prada, a fragmented manifestation of its philosophy and ever-shifting surprising aesthetic, like sides of its character.”
The photos were shot by Steven Meisel, who has collaborated with the brand on a number of legendary shoots. Explore the collection here.
Jennie Is Still a Chanel Girl in the French Maison’s Coco Crush Campaign
Jennie’s love for Chanel is no secret. Sometimes referred to as the “Human Chanel,” the pop superstar has been teaming up with the brand since Karl Lagerfeld was alive, and in an October 2024 cover story for Harper’s Bazaar, she even talked about meeting him, saying, “Just the fact that I got to talk to him, to have him see me wearing what he made—all of that was enough. I am still very honored.”
Now, the Blackpink member is continuing her relationship with the maison, starring in Chanel’s new “Coco Crush” campaign, which highlights the brand’s first jewelry collection to ever feature rubies. Of course, choosing Jennie as the model was likely was no coincidence, given that her stage name is Jennie Ruby Jane.
You can shop the collection, which was also partly inspired by the house’s enduring quilt motif, here.
Kendall Jenner Models Her Luxury FWRD Selects to Kick Off the New Year
As the creative director of FWRD—a luxury curated online shopping experience—Kendall Jenner just shared her picks for the products that she’ll be wearing in the new year.
The edit was revealed on January 1, with a shoot that featured Jenner modeling pieces from Khaite, the Row, Saint Laurent, and more. Photographed by Vito Fernicola and styled by Carlos Nazario, the images see Jenner standing in front of stark backdrops that allow the elegant pieces to remain front and center.
You can shop all of her selects here.
Gwyneth Paltrow Is the Face of the Saint Laurent Spring 2025 Collection
Gwyneth Paltrow may have taken a break from acting, but clearly, she still enjoys some time in front of the camera.
The Avengers: Endgame star is the new face of Saint Laurent, and in early December, she starred in the brand’s Spring 2025 campaign, which was art directed by Anthony Vaccarello and photographed by David Sims.
In the shoot, Paltrow goes totally monochromatic, rocking a double-breasted black tuxedo blazer in one look, while sporting a shiny leather jacket with slacks in another. Of course, she also poses with some of the brand’s fabulous accessories, including their Y Tote and geometric sunglasses.
